Looking for Cinderella (or the best fairy tale) in Annapolis

Okay, this one has made my morning! Someone has a sense of humor and an editor who supports it.

From Looking for Cinderella (or the best fairy tale) The Capital newspaper in Annapolis, Maryland:

There it was. Forsaken.

The black, left-footed Ann Taylor Loft size 7M high-heeled strappy sandal perched atop the brick wall on Duke of Gloucester Street in downtown Annapolis was discovered Friday by a far-from-princely editor from The Capital out for his morning jog.

Could it belong to a modern-day Cinderella?

We would love to know the story behind the lost footwear (shown above).

If you are the owner, please tell us your story and we'll see if the shoe fits.

Otherwise, we'd love to hear some tall tales from cruel sisters and aspiring fiction writers.

How did the shoe end up there? Answer that in 300 words or less and we'll share some of the best stories in the newspaper. We'll also publish all the submissions on our website.

Please email stories to dlauricella@capitalgazette.com.

If you are Cinderella, the shoe is at 2000 Capital Drive in Annapolis and can be picked up during regular business hours Monday through Friday. You will, of course, have to try it on.
